  • You must go through every cabinet and fridge in your house – and start throwing away bottles that have caused you more harm than good.
  • Seek help, support and encouragement from your family and friends. Let them know that you are stopping so they can give you all the love you need. It would not hurt you to scream it to the world even! Be proud, you are cleaning your act, after all.
  • Reward yourself – for every day, week or month that passed without you drowning yourself in the misery that is bourbon or vodka, give yourself an incentive, a gift to keep going. Be generous with yourself!
